CDM-UK Completes Office Fit-Out for Taylor Defence Services at Buchanan Gate, Stepps
CDM-UK has successfully delivered a comprehensive office fit-out for Taylor Defence Services at Buchanan Gate, Stepps, transforming the workspace into a modern and functional environment. The project began with a full office rip-out, paving the way for a fresh and contemporary redesign tailored to the client’s needs.
A key highlight of the fit-out was the creation of a new conference room, providing a dedicated space for meetings and strategic discussions. Alongside this, a brand-new kitchen was installed, complete with fully integrated pipework, offering employees a comfortable and practical area for their breaks. To ensure the office met modern safety and efficiency standards, the entire electrical system was rewired, enhancing both functionality and compliance.
One of the most significant upgrades involved the removal of the old suspended ceiling grid, which was replaced with a new structure featuring advanced PIR lighting. This upgrade not only improved the aesthetic appeal but also enhanced energy efficiency. To promote a balance between collaboration and privacy, four new offices were constructed using sleek glass partition walling, creating a professional yet open atmosphere. Additionally, electrical floor boxes were installed to support flexible workspace configurations.
The flooring was also overhauled, with the removal of old carpet tiles and the installation of new carpet tiles and laminate flooring, elevating the overall look and feel of the office. To further refine the workspace layout, three glass partial partitions with integrated planters were introduced, effectively dividing the main office into four distinct working areas while maintaining a sense of openness.
Adding a final touch of bespoke craftsmanship, CDM-UK designed and manufactured a custom reception desk, ensuring a welcoming and professional first impression. This was complemented by the creation of feature walling, incorporating striking 3D Taylor Defence Services logos to reinforce the company’s brand identity.
