New Online Course: Neurodiversity Training for Managers

We’re pleased to launch our latest course: Neurodiversity Training for Managers

This CPD-certified course provides clear guidance for hiring, supervising and supporting neurodivergent employees. It helps line managers, team leaders and HR professionals ensure their management practices are fair, inclusive and aligned with the Equality Act 2010.

Trainees first learn about neurotypes and how they may affect the ways people work. They also review relevant legal duties under the Equality Act 2010 and how misconceptions increase the risk of discrimination.

The second half of the course provides practical guidance on inclusive management. This includes considerations for recruitment and communication, as well as making reasonable workplace adjustments and ensuring fair performance reviews.

The result is a straightforward framework that managers can apply to prevent discrimination or exclusion and retain skilled staff through more consistent, neuro-inclusive practices.

Why Is Neurodiversity Training for Managers Important?

For the one in seven UK adults who are neurodivergent, standard management practices can be exclusionary. Group meetings, fast-paced communication and rigid expectations are just a few examples of the workplace challenges faced by those who think differently.

Without awareness and adjustments, neurodivergent staff may feel excluded and unable to perform at their best. In some cases, they may feel forced to leave the organisation – or claim discrimination under the Equality Act 2010.

Neurodiversity Training for Managers helps you identify and remove barriers for your neurodivergent staff. Managers learn about the ways different neurotypes influence working styles and how to offer fair and proportionate support. They’ll also explore how to ensure adjustments are both suitable for the employee and practical for the workplace.

When managers apply this knowledge, you can:

  • Build teams that benefit from diverse thinking and stronger engagement
  • Retain talented employees who require reasonable support
  • Reduce the risk of personal grievances and employee discrimination
