Customer Feedback

Why Is Level 1 Food Hygiene Awareness for Manufacturing Important?

If you operate a food or drink manufacturing site, you are responsible for ensuring staff receive food safety training suitable for their role. For production, packing, warehouse or hygiene staff who do not handle open high-risk food, Level 1 training is the baseline for compliance.

This IIRSM-approved Level 1 Food Safety in Manufacturing course provides the knowledge needed to work in entry-level roles. It introduces the legal duties and hygiene standards required under food safety law. It also highlights the main causes of contamination and the control measures needed to keep food safe for customers.

Providing this training helps manufacturers maintain consistent standards across teams and shifts. It aligns with Food Standards Agency guidance for low-risk manufacturing and reduces the risk of cross-contamination, cross-contact and poor cleaning. The online format simplifies inductions for new or temporary staff and creates digital records to demonstrate training compliance during audits or supplier reviews.
